MEET THE PRODUCTION VAULT TEAM

As you may already know, Production Vault was conceived — and is creatively led — by Steve Thomas, Steve Pigott and the crew at ReelWorld.

As founding partner of ReelWorld, Steve Thomas has witnessed — and indeed been responsible for — numerous radio jingle and imaging revolutions over the past 12 years.

Born and bred in the Pacific Northwest, Steve realized at a very young age that he was destined for a career in music. His inclusion in the Newport High School marching band, aged just 16, helped seal the deal!

Thankfully, Steve quickly left his marching days behind and progressed to musical creation and production. Highlights of his career include his early, invaluable years at Filthy Soundz Productions, Production Director of the legendary KUBE in Seattle, and although he didn”t know it at the time, his life–changing time at Music Source, Inc.

It was at Music Source that Steve met Erik Huber. Together, they formed ReelWorld Productions... and, well, you know the rest!

Steve Pigott on the other hand is someone who I know very little about... so I”m not going to type very much until he supplied me with some blurb about his career and the awards he has received. Thanks!!

THE LAUNCH OF PRODUCTION VAULT

So, October 2nd 2006 has passed and the date has now been consigned to the production history books. The launch of Production Vault was, without a doubt, a huge success. The PV website was accessed by hundreds of radio stations around the world within the first hour of launch. Demand for the service was so great in fact, that when our members were first granted full access to the site, and simultaneous downloads began, the server fried. Not ideal, but in a twisted way it was strangely satisfying to know that the popularity of Production Vault had, literally, exploded!

After some downtime, we switched to our new super–fast, super–stable server at 2Advanced.net and suddenly the production world began to rotate again.

Sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused. Rest assured that all the related wrinkles have now been ironed–out and the site is now 100% functional.

YOU HAVE YOUR PV TOYS, BUT WHO DO YOU SHARE WITH?

We’re not going to waste valuable newsletter real–estate to blow smoke up our own ass by listing each and every one of our Production Vault member stations. In addition to industry leaders Z100/New York, WRDW/Philadelphia, CHUM–FM/Toronto and KUBE/Seattle. All we will say is that list is wide–ranging and stretches from the United States to Canada to Ireland to the United Kingdom to the rest of Europe, Dubai and Kuwait.

The list grows bigger every day... just like the content within the site.

NIP/TUCK/TWEAK – YOU’RE THE SURGEON!

Make no mistake. We want Production Vault to be the biggest, baddest, most comprehensive, jaw–droppingly amazing production service ever thrust upon the industry. To do that, we need — no, we demand that — you let us know not only what you think of PV, but what you”d like us to include in the coming weeks, months, and years.

Based upon initial feedback from you, we”ve already made a few changes which we hope will further enhance your experience...

Preview: Want to hear how the full mix of each audio cut sounds with full KIIS branding? Go to the Preview column within each category and click ‘Quick’ beside the track you want to hear. Alternatively, if you have a few seconds more to spare, click ‘Long’ to hear both the full mix and the template version (minus the KIIS bits).

Downloads: You now have a choice of download options. In addition to the super–convenient ‘Shopping Cart’ and Zip–It–Up method, you can now simply preview and download each cut direct to your desktop or hard drive. Right click the download link and ‘Save Target As’ to bypass the Zip process.

VO & Go: A new name for our promo shells. It’s pretty self–explanatory really — you just drop in your VO... and you’re ready to go!

Tempo/Genre: You wanted the flexibility of being able to sort each piece of audio by their Tempo and Genre. You got it!

Sound Design: Imagine a production service which (in addition to containing a mind–blowing array of workparts ranging from Promo Shells to Artist Drops to Exclusive Beds and more) also contained a full sound design sfx library. A library which would, like everything else on offer, would evolve. Um. Your production prayers have been answered!
